Cake decorating for beginners $130

Learn basic techniques for birthday and novelty cakes. This course covers piping, flower making, figure modelling, moulding, cake carving, crumb coating, fondant application and more.

3 four hour sessions from 9.00 am to 1.00 pm – on alternate Saturday 13th May 2017, Saturday 27th May and Saturday 10th June 2017

NOTE: Students are required to bring their own equipment from week 2. I will discuss the material list with you on the first night.

Cake decorating for intermediates $130

Further advance your cake decorating skills. The course covers piping, applique techniques, people figure modelling, stencilling, water colouring and more.

3 four hour sessions from 9.00 am to 1.00 pm – on alternate Saturdays, 20th May, Saturday 3rd June and Saturday 17th June 2017.

NOTE: Students are required to bring their own equipment. The tutor will discuss the material list with you on the first night.

Cake decorating – Christmas theme $130

No previous experience necessary. Impress your family and friends this Christmas with your Wow factor yummy creations and gifts.

3 four hour sessions from 9.00 am to 1.00 pm – Saturday, 7th October, Saturday 14th October and Saturday 21st October 2017.

This class could be rescheduled for a Saturday if enough people request this.

Workshop – One Day Animal toppers $150

Saturday 8th April 2017 – 9.00 am to 5.00 pm

Learn to make a giraffe, elephant and a monkey.  Great for children’s birthday cakes and baby cakes.

Class numbers are limited.  Just bring yourselves, an apron and your lunch.  Tea and coffee will be provided.

Bring a suitable container to take your animal cake topper home with you.

Workshop – One day (plus 2 hours extra) The Sugar Rose $170

Saturday 22nd April 2017 – 9.00 am to 5.00 pm with a further 2 hour class for the putting together of the Rose Spray (date to be mutually arranged for the 2 hour session).

Learn to make the different stages of a rose from bud to fully blown rose and how to put them together into a flower spray.

Class numbers are limited.  Just bring yourselves, an apron and your lunch.  Tea and coffee will be provided.

Workshop – 4 hours – The Hibiscus flower $80

Saturday 1st July 2017 – 9.00 am to 1.00 pm

Learn to make the Hibiscus flower, bud and leaf.  This flower can be made to compliment any colour scheme as it comes in such a diverse colour range.

Class numbers are limited.  Just bring yourselves, an apron and your lunch.  Tea and coffee will be provided.

Bring a suitable container to take your flowers home with you. 

Workshop – One Day The Cattleya Orchard $150

Saturday 22nd July 2017 – 9.00 am to 5.00 pm

Learn to make a Cattleya orchid spray.  This flower looks great on wedding cakes, anniversary, birthday and celebration cakes.

Class numbers are limited.  Just bring yourselves, an apron and your lunch.  Tea and coffee will be provided.

Bring a suitable container to take your flowers home with you.

One on One tuition also available $65 per hour

  • The Sugar Lilly (this flower compliments roses and other wedding flowers for cakes)
  • Sugar filler flowers i.e. Jasmine, Hydrangeas, Berries, Daisies, Sweet pea, Violets (these flowers fill the spaces in wedding flower arrangements on the cake or make a great spray of flowers for s celebration cake.
  • Vintage cup cakes
  • Themes cookies for parties (royal icing techniques)
